Meet the team: Customer Service Administrator, Pauline Marchant
Pauline is our friendly customer service administrator who loves ensuring clients are happy with all the services we offer. She also likes to keep the public up to speed on life at iWaste by looking after our social media accounts.
What do you do at iWaste?
Customer Service Administrator.
Tell us about a typical day.
My morning consists of printing the Waste Consignment Notes for the following days collections, calling the customers for the next day and giving them an ETA, asking any relevant questions ensuring the collections are straight forward for everyone involved.
It can then vary wildly; I can be completing the collections Consignment Notes and sending them out to customers, be doing some of the social media side, researching more ways we can recycle and also spending the day answering the telephone ensuring all messages are dealt with and customers are happy.
I also make sure the drivers are happy and update our customer sites with any pertinent information for future collections.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
Customer interactions.
What’s the strangest thing you’ve seen recycled?
Riot shields.
Wow us with a waste fact.
One nappy can take 500 years to decompose.
When you’re not helping to save the planet, what do you do for fun?
Creating things, (cooking, macramé & photography), looking after my four critters (chinchillas) and generally just relaxing at home with my partner.
