iWaste Staff Bolster Skill Set With New Training & Qualifications
Our business is built on continuously evolving the services we offer so that our clients always receive the highest quality service.
This includes focusing on our staff and supporting them to develop their knowledge, skills and expertise with regular training and performance evaluation.
A number of staff have recently completed the following courses:
Group Asset Manager Ben completed his apprenticeship in 2017. He recently completed a PAT Testing course and is now qualified to undertake PAT testing on-site. A PAT test is a routine inspection of some types of electrical appliances to check they are safe to use – so hugely beneficial to what we do here at iWaste. Gaining this accreditation was key to Ben’s development and something he was very keen to achieve. This has in turn increased his confidence.
Warehouse Operative Toby joined iWaste after leaving school, following in the footsteps of older brother Ben by completing an apprenticeship with us and achieving an NVQ in Warehouse and Storage. He settled in brilliantly and quickly got to grips with the general day-to-day running of the warehouse as well as demonstrating his hardworking attitude and willingness to learn. Since completing his apprenticeship, Toby has undertaken forklift training and has taken on more responsibilities within the warehouse.
Office Manager Louise is an integral part of operations. Since her promotion to the role in 2018, Louise was eager to develop her skill set in order to confidently motivate the team and undertake a greater variety of tasks. Central to this was having the tools to organise her time and actions more effectively and take on new responsibilities to better support the Directors with managing staff. To support her with doing this, Louise recently completed a Diploma in Team Leader/Supervisor NVQ & Management passing with a distinction.
