BCorp Press Release
Intelligent Waste Management Ltd (iWaste) is proud to announce that we have achieved B Corp certification, becoming one of the first electrical waste recycling companies in the UK to do so. Known as the gold standard for sustainability, B Corps are required to meet various social and environmental standards, which cover five key impact areas: environment, governance, workers, community, and customers. iWaste joins a global movement of businesses using their power to solve social and environmental problems.
B Corps are for-profit companies that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability. To become a B Corp, a company must complete a rigorous assessment process and meet the performance standards set by the non-profit B Lab.
iWaste achieved a score of 93.3 within the company's impact assessment, far exceeding the minimum required score of 80 to achieve B Corp standard.
Established in 2013, iWaste strives to provide flawless client services. In combination with the knowledge and experience possessed by the team, iWaste has gained a reputation as one of the UK's most trusted electrical waste recycling companies. We provide electronic waste collection services, secure data destruction for electronic equipment and WEEE nationwide.
We are excited to join the ranks of over 3,500 B Corps around the world, all of whom are committed to using business as a force for good.
Pauline Griggs, Compliance Officer, said: “It's always been important to us, as a company, to recognise what more we can do for the environment. Along with our various environmental sustainability goals, this is just one of the many environmental achievements iWaste has planned for 2023 and beyond. Watch this space.”
